more water will hopefully make for some new snags and some more bass stock into the creeks plus hopefully some more food for the bass too. hope it isn't too savage on the recovering vegetation and local animals though.

According to lyndhurst hill weather station they have had around 5 inches over last 48 hours. Might get away with just opening cone valve which will let dirty smelly water from lower levels and no fish.Dont think that they will want to close youngs crossing road unless absolutely necessary. Looking at the 500k radar the worst of weather seems to have gone past us already.

i hope they do open the npd... even just for 1 day to get a fresh flow through.

They have been doing controlled releases over the last few months via the cone valve. The water quality from the cone valve isnt great.

Every time it gets over 96% they drop it down to 95% to give them a bit of a safety buffer.

Went via Youngs Crossing this afternoon, didn't see any evidence of additional flow.

Just talking to mate who is on the dam at the moment . He said the water level is up 2 feet.
