I hope so to, but water is already higher than last year

They closed the Office and told staff to evacuate just after lunch, it stayed open through the floods last year.

Let u know if you need anything Loz. Boys will be out your way week after next.

Had around 200mm at Westmar since Jan 24. THis is the Moonie. Just to give you an idea, the river is about 5 posts down the power line. Drought or bloody flood out there. Hope everyone else is safe.

24 hrs later and we still cant get into our street. water is at 7.55 as of now and only falling very slowly.

Glenda is coping well (not)this time 7 floods in since 2010 is getting to her.

Sandbagged annd lifted all we could ,but no one was expeting it to reach the 8.5 that it did and as usual very little warning.

Most if not all of our stuff will be gone, lost, F***ed etc so we will see if we can get into home later today and survey the damage and see what we can salvage.

I haven't been out there for ages but I can remember going to my cousins place when I was about 9, they lived next door to the cop shop when my uncle was stationed out there, anyway all I can remember was driving through the floods every time we went out there. Hope all spirits aren't lost and everyone is safe.

Lost everything to the water, going in today to start the clean up. Brisbane or Rocky is looking good at the moment, But the $$$$ arent there.

Lets hope that the Insurance pays out this time.

Very sorry to hear about loss.

Did you get camper and fourby out?

Major items can be replaced the saddest thing is losing the mementos such as photos etc.

Hope Glenda bears up ok.

At least no chance of redundancy out there . Be years of work for Main Roads .

Sorry to hear again.

We've moved into a decade or two of the wet stuff again according to some scientist bloke. So, like Den said, places like Roma and Moonie will be remembered by many of today's travellers for being places with water on the side of the road (when they can get through).
