Hi guys, while the whiting and mud crabs have been great, but you can't beat the rush of some surface action.

Unfortunately with all the rain and dirty water it had made this fishing not worthwhile, Chris told me there were a few coming back as the water is getting a bit cleaner once more.

Watched the storm coming yesterday and as soon as it passed took the punt and went for a look, James D is on holidays at Tally Creek and a quick SMS had him at the ramp within the hour.

Only managed a couple, with both fish having to have 2 goes at the lure before hooking up.

James is getting closer with one fish trying to take the lure as he lifted it out of the water, the expression on his face "Priceless".

Another week or so without rain and they should be better still, should get em for another 2 months yet, i hope.

Then the Tailor should be in and we can do it for another couple of months, cheers wayne

Ellicat, 100% record with that lure, 1 trip 1 fish, it is a Berkley 3B Popper.

Tugger, things cleaning up nicely, unfortunately not many spotties yet.

A Spaniard and Hoo landed out the front on weekend and the most consistant spot by far is the Gravel Patch off Burleigh.

Should be better by the time you come down again, cheers wayne
