You can get a MXs 5 cheap on ebay too. I got mine through these guys

You have to use one for each battery type because they have different optimum charging voltages.

The mx5 is way too small for recharging deep cycle batteries for leccies. It would take 20 hours to recharge a 100 a/h battery so you could only use your boat evey second day.

Something like this projecta on ebay ( ITem no 110809008670 } nis what I would recommend. Aussie firm excellent warranty. If it fails in first 2 years you just ring projecta and they arrange for you to pick up a replacement at nearest Repco store.

something like the ctek m45 would be perfect, i'd shop around you can get them for about $100 on fleabay
