You can get the bits from here http://www.ja-gps.com.au/results.aspx?q=ram

Jaycar is a little cheaper for batteries. Don't forget you'll need a suitable charger too. We fried a couple of batteries before we got a smart charger (left them charging for too long).

If you don't want to mount it on the side, some people make mounts out of PVC pipes to stick in the cup holder

or I've seen others that mount theirs on a length of broomstick that is inserted into the mast hole.

have you got a battery sorted yet?????

yep, everything is done. just need to mount it somewhere

THANKS FOR THE GREAT IDEAS!

i was thinking putting a broom stick down the sales mount then putting a bit of wood across the yak. then the fish finder ontop, so that i can take it on and off when i travel

Thanks everyone for the ideas!

ended up cutting up a old fishing rod ;) and sticking it the sail mount with duck tap around the bottom so it is in tight.

I can move it around 360 is i wanted to but it is tight enough so it doenst move round when im yakkin :side:

It is also very easy to pull on and off when putting on the roof. No holes drilled so i am very happy with the efforts B)
