catching bream

a great way for people to fish for bream is go to a rock wall or any other likely bream holding spot.

Tie on a real tiny hook put enough bait on to cover hook but have point sticking out a tiny bit.

Then open up the bay alarm put the bait right near the bream holding spot about half a metre to a metre away then let the bait just float down, let the line just keep going out and if the line goes out quicker gie it time to run then close bay alarm set the hook and you're on.

The best bait to use for the bream i found to be whitebait and fresh prawns although frozen prawns work good too. I normally fish for the bream at deepwater bend's wall or cabbage tree's trawler moorings.

Doing this at rock walls you can catch small estuary cod tailor and bream. Also when fishing for any type of fish use the lightest sinker possible floating bait down can also work for squire at reefs.:P

another way to catch the bream is to put a little bream diver on and put it out 50cm from the rock wall hold your rod out and just walk back and forth all along the wall.

the bream hold up there because at high tide they sit there and wait for any bait fish to go up close to them then they hit it.

remember to keep it close to the wall and have your lure diaganally this way you can get it off snags if it hits them. a place were you could use this technique is the sandgate wall
