Gold Coast this Easter Weekend

I am heading down to the Goldie for a couple of days with the family and will be close to the spit area. Taking a couple of light spin rods with me and was wondering if you guys had a particular area you normally work with light spin gear. I have tried the seaway but it was bust of central for me last time with the light gear. Basic tactic will be to work the shores with soft plastics and small hard bodies along SeaWorld drive up towards the spit. Possibly wrapping back around into the channel back towards South Port

hi mate, few places you can try fishing is further up the nerang river at the Gold Coast city council chambers. Plenty of landbased areas.

Walking along the beaches at Broadwater in front of Australia Fair Shopping Centre also holds some nice fish such as the one below

you can use google earth and have a look at runaway bay, near the shopping centre. Fish near bridges / pylons. Also have a look at a few canals near pacific fair shopping centre.

Good luck, hope to see a report!
