A few outtings with a mate. (Pics Added.)

G'day all,

I've had a mate up from Sydney for the past week, so we've been trying to fit in as much fishing as we could.

The first session was at my local creek for a few bass last Sunday. After throwing everything we had at them I could only manage a single small bass so we packed it in and headed for the pub.

We had bigger plans for Monday so it was an early night.

Monday morning came around and we headed up to Jacobs well to hire a tinni for the day.

We fished around the islands then headed down to my spot at Coomera. Unfortunately the fish didn't want to play the game (due to the amount of boat traffic over the Easter weekend I'm guessing.) We had a few hits but no solid hook ups. So we left there unsatisfied.

I left Dane to his own devices on Tuesday having to return to work myself. He decided to have a paddle around Clear island waters and picked up a few small bass from near the gates.

Wednesday night we had a land based session at 19th Ave and Talle creek.

I was using the bream prawns and got smashed between 2 bridge pylons, it was a pretty intense fight, finally after running me around the pylon the fish (what ever it was,) won it's freedom by busting me off.

I picked up decent bream after that going 28cm.

We moved down to Talle and Dane was keen to try one the bream prawns himself. He fired it out next the bridge and let if slowly waft down next thing BANG, line starts peeling of at a great rate, next thing this dark figure breaks the surface of the water and gets some mad air. The fight continues, again another massive jump. I had called it for a tailor, but when a nice sized Tarpon came ashore we were both pleasantly surprised.

Then Danes rod went off again. The runs were hard and fast so we called it for a trev, as it got in shallower it shook the hooks. The same thing happened next cast.

Thursday, I had a half day, so we hit the creek in the yaks for a great little bass session.

Dane hit up Talle again while I was at work and picked up two smaller bream.

Friday we ended up at the pub again. Our plan was to hit up Talle in the yaks for a pre dawn session but the taps were flowing to freely so Saturday was a bit of a blur. We had crack at it but just couldn't get it together.

Today was his last day up here so we headed for the hills in search of bass.

I ended up with 6, Dane pulled 8.

Some of the pics from today will be used in something else so please excuse me not putting them all up.
