Went out from Scarborough this morning on a day off. A bit of chop around but was smooth around lunchtime. Went to the beacons to get some livebait than had a quick try soaking them around the sandhills then cruised up to curtain to have a look. Three baits got hit hard but no solid hookups. From the teethmarks I was hoping they were spanish but never got a look. Got sick of it there then headed up to a beacon down south of there and soaked the livies again. The fluro leader livie took off at 100 mile an hour and handed the rod to my mate who never has any luck. He played it for 5 minutes until we got broken off. Rerigged and the bait got smashed again. After a 30 minute fight chasing with the boat got this sucker in. He went 115cm. You should have seen the smiles on our faces.

Yeah mate was stuffed in the first 5 minutes while it was hooking in, even flipped the reel upside down to give his arm a break. Got him around to the front of the boat just yelling suck it up princess trying to keep him going. It took 6 big runs and decided to follow a ship on his last burst. Chris probably had to reel in atleast 1000m of line for it but was good to finally get it to the boat.

Great end to a slow day. His arms were still wrecked when we loaded the boat
