Wr450 relay

So my wr450 won't kick over? Not even a click, has new battery. Just looking to replace the relay under the seat at the back of the seat, but the relay is missing the amp numbers for each pin, and I'm not sure if the narva 4 pin will suit? Anyone had this problem? Or have a wr from 2003 onwards they might do me the favor of getting the numbers off the relay for me?

That sounds like the starting circuit cut off relay. it stops you from starting your bike in any other condition than clutch in, or in neutral? Is that the one? If it is I had the same issue with mine heres the part number unless its changed 8DM–81950–00

You could also try bypassing it with jumpers straight to the starter if you want to narrow it down.

The relay doesn't have any numbers left on it except 8dm. So I got a narva relay and still nothing. But in saying that I haven't pulled the clutch when trying to kick it over.

It's not even clicking? So assuming its not the starter yet?

How do u jump the starter?

You bypass by running a positive jumper cable straight to the positive cable on the starter from your car battery

That way the current doesn't pass through the faulty relay

Can you push start it. If it does kick to life something like what basstracker has said.

If it doesn't kick try your kill switch, ignition lead, plug. Pretty common problem for bikes going out to the Beer, lots of muddy water going through everything.

wont kick start, wont push start.

run a wire from the starter positive to the positive on battery, nothing?

put a test light onto the positive on the starter and nothing..

so now its just got confusing haha.

wont jump start the starter, and on the other hand no power getting to the starter.

Try the part number I quoted before that's pretty strange hey, does it have the cti unit electronic ignition? Worth a check. It should be a simple fix. Are you getting any lights with the ignition on?
