Gold Coast Seaway Sand Pumping Jetty..

Just a short report for any fisho's stuck on land around the Gold Coast..

We spent most of the afternoon fishing a range of bait off the Sand pumping jetty with very little result...

Black Bream were taken using bread (3 all afternoon) and it wasn't until the regulars turned up on dusk that I saw more fish hit the deck.. All the regulars were using bait jigs and catching small trevally hand over fist with some good legal size whiting which were treated as by-catch and strangely thrown back while they kept the 20cm Trevally!! Flicked some plastics around the Seaworld hole only lost one tail on a decent hit but then retreated fast because we were getting smashed by midgies.

All in all I recommend bait jigs off the Jetty if you like Trevally soup or just wanna catch SOMETHING!! but if you have or know someone with a boat don't bother for a while or ever!! If all goes well I will be venturing over to Curtain Reef inside Moreton next Saturday and would really appreciate a recent update for that area if anyone has been over recently.. Cheers.
