well herro..

just afew things im not to sure about and i know someone would of come across it before..

firstly..

My transducer bracket snapped off last weekend at peel, so what i am doing is doing what i did in my yak.. gettin abit of old surf board and cut it into the transducer shape then clue it down inside the tinny.. will this be fine going though the tinny? i hope so.. saves me spending 20 bucks for a new bracket..

Also.. where the bracket wasi had gap filler around it ( full on marine gap filling stuff ;) ) really strong and cant get it off.. it looks like poo with it onn, tried sanding it but isnt coming off.. thinking maybe turps? not sure? anyone had this prob?

aand..

there was 2 holes from the bracket, i am thinking weld it? or put 2 bolts in it? ( i would muc rather weld it) idk? can any body give me a hand with the welding aswell? i am based north side :)

ohh last thing.. where the old rego numbers where there is still abit of sticker that i cant get off.. not much but givin ma the ***( poos) hahah, thinking turps or really hot soapie water? ive tried hot soapie water, but will it make a diffence if i boiled the water ( besides burning my hand off ) :pinch:

Runty with the sticker, have you peeled the number of and just have sticky residue left?

If so get some eucalyptus oil and a rag and within 10 seconds it will all be gone ;)

P.S Transducer through alloy hull - i didn't think that it would work properly but will leave this to other guys here to advise

the filler is probably sikaflex thinners may work best sealent you will ever use till its on you lol i dont think the transducer will work through the hull i was told it wouldnt the holes i would put the bolts back in with good sealent behind it but you may need the holes anyway

kk cheers, nah its little bits of black sticker over the boat haha.. thanks for the tip tho, that will come up sometime for sure. cheers!

Just get a razor blade scr@per for a hardware shop, they'll be a few bucks and and won't scratch your tinny either ;)
