Fishing in a tiny tinnie

thanks man, sounds great. i just bought my tinnie so ill probally just get thelazyboy and fish goodna a couple times first just to get used it driving it around, then go for somewhere like the port abit later.

If it were me I would avoid any spots with boat traffic in your 2m tinny. Might be all good with other small boats around, then that 60ft cruiser comes past and you will be swimming home minus a tinny and all your gear. Stick to the creeks that larger boats wont bother accessing to be safe.

As far as locations go, if its wet then it has fish of some sort, just have to work out how to catch them.

i was thinking after a couple pratice outings at goodna might try to take it to cabbage tree creek, i never really seen any large boats there, apart from the trawlers.

You are Goodna, I would suggest maybe, colleges crossing for some bass, maybe the bremer for some bass and threadies. Any of the stocked impoundments that allow boating. Jacob's Well for bream, fatties and whiting. Just be careful of the wake from the ignorant riveria owners (knob boats).

Logan river - bream, flatty, whiting and sharks

Albert river - as above

Nth side I would suggest

Bribie passage - whiting, flatty, and bream

Dholes rock - as above

Pine river - as above

pretty keen in my books going to the port in a 2m-2.5m tinne have you seen some of the sharks that have got caught there, some bigger then your boat. i'm a bit curious about taken my 3.5m there

goodna should be ok now its cooler ,less ski lice.

colleges crossing ,use the electric .no petrol motor area ,watch out for rocks and logs it get shallow .

bremer ,u can used both motors ,i would still use the electric in the shallow rocky stuff .

Me and a mate use to fish the brissie river in a 3 m tinny with a 4hp, it was fine uncomfortable when rough but still handled the boat traffic

Mate I have been fishing down the Coomera at Sanctuary cove (Friday and Today) and I only have a 3m with a 5hp. I've had a ball and boated plenty of fish.

If you are looking to go around the Goodna area there are meant to be some half-decent Muddie spots just up from there around the Moggill ferry.
