Humminbird transducer mount

After loosing 2 transducers due to broken mounting tabs (HB 997si) i found some hairline cracks in the third transducer. I spent today making up a new mounting setup to reduce the stress on the transducer tabs. The mounting block supports the transducer from both ends and is also spring loaded which will allow the transducer to move up and down according to speed and conditions.

I'll let you know how its work's when i take it out next!(hopefully next week)

It might just the angle of the photo but your transducer looks as though it sitting a bit high. That aside though good idea
