NPD Permits

I picked up my Boat Access Scheme permit, number 200, an hour or so ago from Barry Tucker of the PRFMA who told me that there are still plenty available at $100 each. Well worth the money even if you only use them for redclaw access or for a quiet leisurely ride around the fishing zone or up to the Dayboro Bridge by canoe.

I'm tempted...just to bang my yak in a few times.

They would be ok in a trap being towed behind me wouldn't they?

They would be ok in a bag or trap i think. They actually survive really well out of the water if kept moist. I would think it would be a little annoying towing around a trap. You would not need a lot of water changes if you just kept them in a container in the yak. They are not as demanding as fish i think.

I was more thinking an appropriate sized Tupperware container with holes in it rather than a whole big trap. I don't see it having to much drag on a yak, especially with my guns operating the paddle....hah

How does one get a permit? I'm assuming from the prfma website?

Google PRFMA and go from there for your permit. Shrimps keep well in a small container with a tiny airpump and waterchanges from time to time.Hang them over the side when you're fishing. IM
