The Bays Still Got it

Been meaning to write a post up for a couple of days finally found the time.

So me and the fishing group that go out almost every weekend looking for fish in the bay and hoping to come away with a feed, set out last saturday the 23/6 at 4:30am.we were at the ramp all excited because we where following another boat out over the bar between Straddie and moreton and hoping to get some good off shore fish,(first time crossing the bar).Crossing the bar was fine we went to the first spot only got a few under size snapper and flatties,the wind was forecast to be round 15 knots it blew up to 20, so we decided to come back in with know fish in the bin very disapointed,we decided to stop at one spot on the way home in the bay where we had caught two just legal snapper a few weeks back, this is what we got and it has restored our faith in the bay and this is what we fish for,we caught both fish on floating pillies they both weighed 4kg and were 72cm.

Nice catch Greg. You should look up some of Tugger's reports for that region. He fishes Boat Rock off the Northern tip of Straddie for some monster fish, and he always has time for other boaties wanting to head out.

na mate havn't gone from fishos normally go from cleveland or wellington point
