What do you think?

They have a fair bit of weight so will cast well and sink in the strong current that the Brissy river has.

They are nice and soft so should have a decent action with cast and retrieve or slow troll

I have found Red an white has always been a favourite with other predators

And that hook is pretty solid.

If I was a thready I would be all over it.

Yeah, I did think they were heavy, about 65 grams each if my scales are accurate.

The reason I got these (I did have the smaller size in hand) was that when the current starts to run near the ships I was having a hard time getting a line to the bottom if at all with the line near horizontal.

From the website they seem to imply that straight retrieve or slow troll may be the go for these

As long as the soft plastics give off a lot of vibration for the threadfin to pick up they would be good and they also need to be heavy enough to stay near the bottom and maybe even if you used a slightly smaller version it could work better as threadfin like smaller profile lures
