Hi from new member

Hi,

I am a new member and moving to Brisbane in November.

I have an 18ft Boat and I hope to get out after long fin tuna. I havn't done much warm water fishing before so most of the species will be new to me.

Just posting to say Hi and introduce myself.

Welcome to afo tony. I'm not much of a tuna man so excuse my question.... but do we get long fin tuna? Or is that the same thing as a longtail?

The longies can be a bit tough to get in the bay at times, but if you head outside or out from the north coast, they're supposedly much easier to trick.

Long Fin Tuna are Albacore henry. You wouldnt generally catch them here, but you can definately catch them off the shelf out off qld. In the deeper waters. But more likely further south.

Yeah Longtail my mistake. But any thing that puts up a scrap really.

Havn'y got a house lined up yet but somewhere on the nothside hopefully. Want to tow the boat north with the kids on holidays etc.

I'm looking for a project Troopy but man they hold their value.....
