queensland Coomera Bass

Went for my first Bass session of the season this arvo, launched at the weir at Coomera and headed up river for no luck although it does look very fishy. Headed back towards the weir and dropped one fish whilst trolling but was able to make it up with two healthy Bass in quick succession not far from where I launched. Both fish were caught on a 1/8th white spinnerbait. It was good to feel the hit of a Bass after chasing Bream for a while.

Just got home from the Coomera myself. I launched a bit further up than you did and only managed one bass that smashed my jitterbug. It was a good hit and glad to land my first bass of the season after my first two sessions ended in donuts.

Mark, I headed up to the Mary for opening day, crystal clear water but the creek has silted up a lot making it very shallow and not a lot of fishable water. Need to wait for a good flush out before heading back there.
