Here is my first real shark. I've caught shovel-noses and Catsharks, but this is my first real one. Pretty sure it is a Bronze Whaler, but could also be a Black-tipped Reef Shark, caught just of Mud Island on a ganged pilly ment for Mackerel [img size=375]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/First_Real_Shark_AFO.jpg

PS: Shark was released

Gazza, when they were talking about the Cod, it was in reply to an other post. You'll see that straight above the carp picture Brian says \"Do crap fish count\". I've put it in bold now

Will,

That would be a \"spot tailed whaler\" Carcharhinus sorrah , quite common in the bay from Mud out to the bar. One of the few whalers with black tipped fins that doesn't have a mark on the first dorsal. They are always a lovely coppery colour and much smoother than a bully, smaller teeth too.

How the heck did you get that on board - that's huge.

Hey Angus did you notice that your fish got smaller as you got bigger :woohoo: :P

Go the gold vipers, early morning I bet, maybe even pulling it doen the line where the morning sun meets the water. Or late arvo.

Lost of good fish photos - keep em coming.
