Pick Up The New Boat Sunday

Hi guys,

Thought I'd introduce myself, my name is Geoff and I pick up a 2008 4.8 Allycraft runabout on Sunday, would have liked the Centre Console but the wife likes the runabout for the other family activities. Tubes and Picnics.

I got the bug after a day out with Brad Smith on the Gold Coast, we trolled his lures around the Broadwater for a variety of fish including Bream, Flathead, Trevally etc.

Now I just have to work out what trolling techniques and soft plastics work around the Brisbane area.

Can't wait, hopefully I can post some decent fish photos over the Christmas Period.

Do the girls come with the boat?

If those girls come with the boat there won't be many fishing posts. Mine isn't quit as flash as that photo but it's the same hull and will have to cope with crabs pots and the usual fishing stuff.

Welcome, the boat looks good. I'm also a recent new boat owner looking to get out and about may cross paths out and about sometime soon.

Same here, I haven't fished for 10 years or so. We used to frequent the Pine in those days with a few trips to Bribie which was more productive.

I live at Bracken Ridge now so I might check out Cabbage tree creek which is about 5 minutes away and gives easy access to the bay on a good day.

We used to get good Crab in the Brisbane River so I'll have to check that out again too.
