The closest ive ever come to being hit by lightning was up north in weipa i was just about to get into a cab to go to the shops when everything went white and the hair stood up on my body and the shock wave shook me the next thing i know i was falling to the ground so i cralled into the cab and told the driver to take me to the pub bugger the shops it took till the 3rd schooner for me to stop shaking

We had a high set Queenslander in nth Ipswich,it was hit by a lightning bolt -all the lights which were on at the time popped when we went in the bedroom the earth wire had burnt into the paintwork i think we were lucky!!! :S
