Went out this morning again for a quick session before the big blow sets in for a few days.

Plenty of action on the sounder before we even got around the breakwall.

Conditions were not the best with close to a metre of sloppy chop rolling through which made the trip out slow only managing to do 25-30kmph. Eventually we made it out there and after a quick sound around i anchored on the mark. Shortly after the burly trail was in full swing :sick: and then i started cubing pilchards :whistle: One to many beers the night before i think...

First drop and got a mackeral run straight away but the hooks didnt hit their mark and i missed the hook up. Then went quiet as the sun rose higher but they came back on the bite hard later on. Started with a couple of spotties, then landed my PB tuna which put up one hell of a fight!

The final fish of the morning was another pb, a nice spanyard which had my reel screaming on its first run!

Ive definately got the mackeral bug :woohoo:

Called it quits and left them biting.

Henry- Photos dont do it any sort of justice, conditions did not improve :sick:

Bri- Nar mate i was the first one out there this morning but when i left there were 2 others. Im sure on a good day it would look alot like palm beach reef out there its not vey far out.

See how you berley up and wait. Start spinning slugs in the trail. You get heaps more mackerel that way
