queensland White Patch Bribie Island

Hi Guys

I have heard a lot of people talking about fishing at White Patch on Bribie Island and was just wondering exactly how you get there and where you fish. I am land based so am just looking for some decent flathead/whiting spots to try. Cheers

The area has natural structure in the form of, shallow tidal drains, small depressions. There are yabby beds down from the walkway around G19, when the tide starts to come in across the flats there, it fills in fairly fast.

Fishing over these yabby beds can be fruitful when the tide is coming up, early morning and evening. Obviously yabbies for bait would be the way to go if baitfishing this area.

At the bottom of the tide you can also fish off the flats into the deeper water

Mosquitoes and midges can be thick at times, so some form of repellent is advisable.
