I have a GME as well, it is a really nice easy unit to use. I just use it for listening for truckie updates on the highway and talking to mates on 4x4 tracks. I have also tuned in fire, ambo and even port of brisbane channels which can be interesting to listen to.

Check out these guys for prices. I bought mine 4 years ago now so am nto up on current models http://www.prestigecom.net.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=27&zenid=m1261r3noe7bl4um8dvfvbh1m5

i can't fault it. comes with the antenna and all wiring attached. easy to install and way cheaper online than the 4x4 shops. they will sting you a couple of hundred for the install.

controls on handset

Before you wire it up have a think whether you want it to power on with the car or turn it on manually and then connect your wires to run whateva you decide.

the ones that come with wires attached usually have a fuse close to the box. i suggest adding a second fuse close to the battery (if powering straight from the battery).
