Dear Stakeholders

As a result of the weather event which adversely impacted the South East Queensland area over the past weekend a number of Seqwater facilities are closed to public access until further notice.

Please be aware that on water activities at ALL sites is not permitted until further advise regarding water quality and general safety is available.

The following update on recreation areas is provided for your information and is current at 11.30am Tuesday 29 January 2013.

Baroon – South Recreation area and Spillway Lookout CLOSED

Borumba – CLOSED due to problems with the access road.

Ewen Maddock – Recreation areas open – CLOSED to on water activities.

Hinze – Visitor Centre is closed today but should reopen tomorrow. Both Boat Ramps are CLOSED. View Café is open and the Recreation area has reopened after being closed on the weekend.

Little Nerang – CLOSED due to problems with the access road.

Maroon – Parks open. Lake closed to all on water activities until further notice.

Moogerah – Lower recreation area CLOSED due to problems with the access road. Haigh Park open. Lake closed to all on water activities until further notice.

Samsonvale – recreation areas are open but all users are encouraged to exercise caution until fallen vegetation can be cleared.

Somerset – Currently CLOSED but hoping to reopen on Friday pending reports on water quality and general safety.

Wappa – Jack Harrison Park CLOSED

Wivenhoe – The information centre is closed today but should reopen tomorrow. Lake Wivenhoe will be CLOSED for at least another 7 days.

Wyaralong – Eastern Trail Head CLOSED until further notice. Western Trail Head – Open but all users to exercise caution as trail conditions may have been adversely affected by weather conditions.
