So I've been told up around mt Crosby Weir and the kholo rd crossing holds some bass, so might drive up there in the next week or two to try it out. Havnt been anywhere near the place so what kind of lures are best too use there when landbased and will the bass around there hit lures during the day??

Might need to give it more than a week. Pretty churned up out there at the moment. Until it clears you'll need a lure with big vibration as clarity will be extremely low - they mightn't be able to see it, but they'll feel it.

Check that you are fishing in the right areas up there - there's a few areas where you aren't allowed to fish.

Mt Crosby Weir is closed to all forms of fishing 400m downstream of the weir wall and 200m upstream. There is also a 50m downstream closure of the old weir, which is situated further downstream of the main Mt Crosby Weir.

Fishing in closed waters attracts a fine of $400.
