suncorp scam

i just had a call some someone claming to be from suncorp. they were asking to confirm my details. it didnt sound right to me. i hung up giving them no details and called suncorp. suncorp confirmed that it is a scam. so if you get a call like this give no details.

Cheers for the heads up dirtridder. Although I do like the scam emails that ask you to confirm your details - even when you don't have an account at that financial institution!

It is a good tip to never give out details to someone that calls you!

Afterall if the call is legitimate, you will be able to confirm they are who they say they are. One way is to get their name and department and then calling their head office/main number and getting passed through to them.
