queensland Brown water bassing

Hit up some brown water with Bommie today.

Dropped a yella on one of D & S Lures Starvin Marvin trying to pole it up onto the eroded bank.

We got a heap of hits and missed hookups and downsized. Bommie was the first to land a fish, healthy looking, if a bit thin.

Found a shady spot with a bit of an eddy and pulled 3 bass out of there on a Damiki DC50.

And found a grassy spot full of moron droppings that some dirty bait fisho's had been at. I know this by the pile of litter the dirty tuckfards left behind. No wonder we are getting locked out of more and more fishing spots. Any authority would be crazy to allow bogan scum to set up in a spot, make a fire, drink lots of beer, smash their bottles everywhere and leave fishing line and all manner of other c-rap behind. If you are one of these fisherman, please set fire to yourself next time you go fishing and start a bonfire.

Nearly forgot about a mishap with a treble. One day I will grow a brain and crush the barbs. Less ouchy on the way out.

Apology for only an after pic. I needed 2 hands to get the camera out of its bag, and only one hand to get my pliers. :pinch:

Haha.. Nice one Tom. Did you get any luck on surface?

just spangled perch slapping the surface. All my bass came from a DC50 retrieved just under the surface. Was pretty shut down, all the hits were very tentative
