Got up at 3.30 moon out slight breeze. Beauty :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Had brecky went out to hitch up boat at 4.30 blowing strong south easter and thick cloud

Went and picked up graham and decided to go anyhow.Heavy rain around Nerang but did not seem to be any wind so we pressed on . When we arrived at ramp no wind and rain all gone.

All smiles again.. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Got a verybpoor return from the shrimp traps just over 30 shrimp,4 small redclaw and a few assorted flathead gudgeon.

We pulled up on the point where I did ok last saturday and Graham was on straight away.

Then the banded grunter moved in so we decided to move into the trees on the other side opposite Ians island.

We did ok with mostly small bass and then the grunter moved in and we knocked off around 9.30 after using up all the bait. Even caught bass on the gudgeons and on grunter flesh.

Looks like we will have to start buying shrimp.

Bit of sunshine over Hinze is a rarity at the moment. Was the water still pretty milky or is it starting to settle a bit more now?

Good on ya, Ray. Good to see someone getting out there and getting a line in the water. I've got more than an itch after all this time. Might have to give it a go this weekend or I'll end up with hives!
