queensland Offshore this weekend??

Thinking of sneaking offshore this saturday afternoon/sunday morning depending on the winds and how quickly this swell drops.

Has anyone been over to the bar recently to see what state it is in?

The bar was pretty nasty last few trips we being out. That was few weeks ago amity had alot of swell running through it

Hopefully that swell drops off saturday arvo should be cracker on sunday.

Pick your tides and should be fine.

We are heading offshore Sun morning if the weather does the right thing and the SPB is passable.

Was thinking the same, a saturday arvo and sunday morning. Keen as to get off shore, it has been about 2 months. Wind looks awesome, tides are right, just the swell, all sites that I have found, have the tide dropping out, but looking at the current swell they seem to be way off. Just don't want to drive all the way down to brisbane to be disappointed again. Any one with any info on conditions would be muchly appreciated.

The swell is going around to the south which make it alot better on south passage

Like shane and tugger says, the weather looks promising for the week. But i guess i will stay indoor or the bay until the epirb i got from lance arrive on my door step.. Hope the weather stays good for the guys heading out sunday...

Swell is still huge down south at the moment. Currently at kings cliff and it is at least 6 ft. With the bom forecast turning a little nasty it may be a bumpy day out there!
