queensland Another 55cm from Brissy River

After receiving a ear bashing from my wife for not marching today, I snuck off to the Upper brissy river to play in the mud. A bit of a slow start but a good finish. First 2 fish was on a purple D&S lure then the third bass which was a ripper smoked me on a snag and that was the end of that lure. My punishment for not marching was to lose another 2 whopper bass to snags also. Rod I was using wont be seeing brissy river again its already been sent to back of shed. It was one of the old thin ugly sticks, to whippy at the end and to hard to turn big fish away from snags. Glen managed the bass of the day with his 55cm model, my biggest went just a touch over 50cm. We both got over 20 bass each and 3 yellas each.

Those 55cm models are getting so ho-hum up there.

The bass has got a bigger smile than Glen. :silly:

Mongrell rod I was using struggled to turn the head of anything over 40cm.

Since it cant catch big Bass, I suppose its not for sale? Daughter needs a new Bass rod :evil:

Some nice fish there, dont see to many Yella's in the reports from there.

She can have this one,its the one with the screw down cork grip, the cork was a bit dodgy so I put some tape on it. Give me a yell when passing this way, home most afternoons.
