Reel advice

Hey guys, I recently won a daiwa exceler 6-14lb rod which means I "need" to buy a new reel.

I don't want to spend of much on the reel as the rod is only mid range so was thinking of either stradic (2500or 3000) or freams 2500. I will be putting 12lb on it for light plastics work.

Thought I would put it to public opinion as to which reel you would go with.

Freams, it is against the law to put a Shimano on a Daiwa and vice versa.
