Hi All

We will be releasing a heap of new products over the coming months, one of the ones that excites us the most is the Cover Cicada

At 45mm in length and weighing 7 grams, we know that this will do really well with bass anglers. It is completely weedless and soft and subtle yet tough as well. it is planned to be released in early August in Japan with us receiving it soon after. they comes in 8 colours which all look tops

Yesterday we were advised by Fish Arrow Japan that due to unprecedented demand in Japan they cannot guarantee stocks for Australia unless we pre order them now and they will prioritize those numbers for us. i have sent an email to my stockists asking them to prepare their orders so they don't go without.

here is one with a 50 cent coin above for size comparison

here is a video from Fish Arrow Japan showing its action plus some surface hits, i can see Aussie bass being all over this one.

Alan (biggles) has seen one of the samples i have and i nearly had to fight him to get it back. the RRP for these fellas is $19.99

if you are keen to get your hands on them, please go down to your local store and tell them and they can contact us to book their orders. We will be submitting our order to Japan next Friday and hopefully we will be able to get these guys in time for bass season kick off.Lance has pre ordered some already so let him know what you need.

cheers and thanks for reading

Thanks Rob

I had a play with these last week and I have never felt a cicada lure so soft like these.

Fish should keep smacking these lures up until they are either hooked or feel the hook.

Also as Rob mentioned I have pre ordered some so if you need any just shoot me a PM to secure your lures from this first order.

Thanks

i went to a local pond today and tested it out.

first i left it on the surface and after 5 minutes, it was still afloat and i was getting bored and started casting. i was using a 6"6 baitcasting rod with 100 size baitcaster with 10lb braid. casting distance and accuracy was not a problem.

the best retrieve i came up with was holding the rod tip at 45 degrees and a just used a slow to medium retrieve and the lure does the action seen in the youtube clip. you can stop and go etc.

after 30 minutes of playing around with it, the lure had not taken in any water and still floated. i beleive that when a bass hits though, the lure will suck in water but their is a tiny hole in the bottom for emptying water out with a squeeze. the wings hit the water during the retrieve making a slapping sound as well

below are a few phone pics i took today

so, is there anywhere near ipswich to get some of these and how would I rig them - I am new to 'plastics' or anything other than 'bait'

Thanks

Joy

Hi Joy.

I have a supply of all colors left but I am in Kingston.

You can tie them on with a small snap clip or loop knot.

You can see the range at the link below.

Also I can post these out to you if you did want any.

Thanks

Still have to get off my bum and grab some of these. Anyone know if Carseldine have them in yet ?
they got the full range within days of them coming out. Can't tell you if they still have stock though.

Thanks mate, I'll stop in Monday morning and have a look around. I try to limit myself from going in there because the credit card cops a thrashing every time....great lure range !
