Noosa Report

Hi guys,

As usual, I've been fishing heaps! But as usual, Tim has well and truly been out fishing me! - Funny how that happens...

We went on a short "exploration" mission up to Harvey bay, and despite the horrid wind and rain, we still managed a few nice fish! The standout of the trip by far was this cracking Jack that Tim managed to extract from a tiny creek entrance somewhere up the inside of Fraser Island! Was an unbelievable fish considering the water was in clear and the fact that it's the middle of Winter! Would have been around the 50cm mark and gave a good account of its self on ultra light gear.

After Fraser, Woods Bay was in need of a good fish and the trevally action has been insane! Here's something a bit different which put up a hell of a fight on the ultra light gear! This flathead would probably have gone around 80cm and made the landing net look very small!

With conditions being pretty favourable, we decide to hit up some of the close-in reefs just out from the Noosa bar. Aside from the scores of tiny squire and sweetlip, Tim came up trumps with this cracker Sweetlip which gave him absolute hell around the sharp reef!
