Hey everyone

Im pretty new to the fishing scene outside of small river fishing, i finally got myself a boat and am looking forward to learning the sport and catching some awesome fish!! If anyone has any advice for me starting out it would be greatly appreciated i want to fish the northern part of the bay (only because i live on the north side) and have done 1 trip over to Moreton (where i didn't have to much success) and have otherwise fished a little around mud island and redcliffe but dont really know any spots and am otherwise just pretty green as far as 'what to look for'

Feel free to offer any help or advice thanks

Thanks Liam I hope so!

I have been trying to catch snapper I hear the bigger ones fight like hell and are a lot of fun to catch having only caught little squire I couldn't comment, I want to begin chasing Pelagics in the bay as well but dont really know too much about finding them (other than to look for bids diving around beacons) my boat is a haines signature 520C

wouldnt bother with mud from where ur travelling, the traffic there is really bad on most good/average days because its so close to the river mouth.

if its quiet, head to curtains for a fish. not too bad there when its not busy, otherwise if its a carpark at curtains, go grab some livies and beacon bash with some heavy outfits. 5.2 should be comfortable enough to head off cape =) heard people have been doing well

Thanks Liam yeh I love it I'm spending every weekend on it, I was reading about Scarborough reef and even tried fishing there once at night and once early morning but it seems like it is mixed reports about whether anybody catches anything there..

Thanks Tim I've really wanted to try Curtain different reports have said how many fish people are catching out there! So long as the wind permits I may have to make that my next adventure
