What fish is this

My son caught this off the Bulimba Jetty, the under belly started to puff up, about 12inch long, could not find a pic on the internet.

Lucky to get him in, have caught a few on plastics and when yak side bitten straight through the hook, very powerful jaws.

Bigger models up in Hervey Bay ended up biting through my 20lb wire coated trace

I caught one of these at Breaky Creek about a year ago. About the same size too. Pretty good fight actually......for a toadfish haha.

We caught about 15 a few weeks ago in deception bay, they bit hooks off no worries. They scare the whiting away too, grubs!!
