queensland Pine delivers again!

Made a last minute decision to hit up the Pine this morning to see what was about.

Usual suspects at first with a few flathead coming on board the yak.

Things then went quiet for a while until just after the turn of the tide. I cast my Zman Grub and noticed a boil a few moments after it landed. Sure enough, I was on. First up I thought tailor as there were plenty about and I thought the boil might have been a small school of them near the surface. A couple of minutes later, I was thinking jew. I was also beginning to worry about my 6lbs leader.

Anyway, this is what it turned out to be.

I was stoked. First thready and what a cracker. I gave up trying to measure it accurately as I wanted to get it back in the water. It was bigger than my brag mat so I am calling it 85cm.

Gotta love the Pine river.

Always hard in the yak to measure big fish, that's why I stick to catching the small stuff.
