queensland Offshore mixed bag 6-7-13

Bit of a late post but trout I would share the spoils of a Tripp of straddy last weekend.

After an eerie trip across the bay and through the Rous in that fog a bkeautiful day showed itself once across the bar.

Fished the usual haunts off straddy including boat, shag and the 7's for s nice mixed bag. One of the boys managed a nice snapper and his first for the winter, went 87cm and just over 6.5kg.

Headed in at about 11:30 as the bite had shut right down but managed a nice mixed bag for the day. Enjoy.

I cant get past the 85cm this year lol.

You guys have really learnt how to fish sevens with bait hey.

We havnt being getting much there.z maybe we fish there too late.

7's is a funny reef, there doesnt appear to be any rhyme or reason to teh bite times, some days we do well there others are for naught.

Really need some more marks out there that produce. (wink wink)

Yeah thats it lol. We kinda figured when to fish it in summer for wahoo and cobia.

I got a good cod there on weekend. Either than that nothing. Sounder light up but no takers.

Use live bait pinned to bottom there it works really well.

Haha man head out to the 33s and 35s and sound around theres heap of good ground that way.

Thats where i being fishing lately.

Im planning to look for new ground and se of boat rock in the 60m mark.

I have got few spots which i marked in summer trolling.

Just waiting for current to get better so i can fish it.
