"Sunshine Coast" Report

Hi everyone,

here's a bit of a Sunny coast report to get you through your Sunday!

Jewies have been well and truly on the chew in the Noosa River, and despite the lack in size, they are making up for it in numbers! Small prawn profiled soft plastics are the go, and we reckon the gladiator prawn is pretty hard to beat!

Here's local angler Nick Poole with a nice fish taken on light gear!

Tim, Matt and I decided that we NEEDED to head back to the Maroochy River to catch that big jewie that we lost last time, and despite the rain all looked good!

Unfortunately, the jewies didn't seem hungry, and on the subject of being hungry, this awesome looking sea eagle swooped down and grabbed this good sized mangrove jack from a nearby snag! Luckily I had time to get the camera out and get a few snaps!

This wasn't the only Jack encounter of the day, and healthy specimen took a liking to my 140mm squidgy wriggler that slowly hopped past some deep structure!

Am i the only one who's catching more of these red devils in winter than in Summer?

Thanks for reading, Chris
