As I am on a 4 week break I can fish whenever I please right now, and after my success with the golden Trevally on Saturday I thought I would give the spot another go this morning.

With the wind forecast saying 5knots I thought it should be an alright trip over... well I was wrong. After getting soaked for 10 minutes straight, finally reached the spot. Out came the Nordic stage and on went a 5inch baby bass on a 1/4 5/0 All on 6lb line. 3 casts in and I was on, after about 3 minutes of a fun battle the pressure was turned on when the fish turned the boat and I notice 30 people on the bank watching in anticipation. After 5 minutes of kids screaming out "what is it" the fish quickly rapped me around a pillar.

Tied on another leader and plastic and started flicking. as I was retrieving a cast I looked down at the water and spotted a big silver blob cruising under the boat. Managed to pump a cast I'm it general direction and BOOM it was on.

After 20 minutes of following it weaving between pillars and Sh#ting myself. up surfaced this fella.

Awesome fun, will hope to get back out and do it again very soon.

Nice fish and great to see him going back in. That spot can get a flogging sometimes with everything being taken, making it hard for others to enjoy the sport the big goldens supply.

That is a stonker :woohoo: what's with all these trevs being caught on light stuff? No way would I back myself to pull that in on 6lb.
