There are some categories that have disappeared from the forum as Dino said articles on different types of fishing. I reported that the thanks and congratulations has gone with no response.

Also problems with private messages.

If these problems are hidden away in a section that members rarely look at how can people be aware of the problem.

When there is no response from the administrator how do we know if the problen is being looked at?

If the general community can see a problem reported and they also experience the problem they can add a post to the thread with their experience and would this not help the administrator diagnose how to rectify and also give an indication on how widespread the problem is.

This would stop multiple reporting of the same problem as people would be just adding to the original thread.

the Website Problems category is for reporting issues to AFO Admin and as such is not required to display in the other areas of the site (eg Latest Posts etc). Think of it like a Contact Us form. AFO get emailed when any new posts are made in this category and respond accordingly to the posts.

Well no actually don't do that please. That just creates one more unnecessary job for the moderators AND no email gets sent directly to admin.

Do not forget these issues are dealt with in our own time, around day jobs and other commitments, when we get a chance. My inbox displayed 127 new emails yesterday when I arrived home at 6:30pm. This is no different than other admin. We are sorry that maintaining this site as a free service limits the speed of responses but patience is appreciated...

If you ever feel reports have fallen on deaf ears feel free to email directly. Chances are the issue is simply in a priority line however and will be attended to when possible.

been reported several times.that is one of the reasons that i reckon that the website difficulty threads should be in the latest posts also.

The problem is that people are not aware of a problem until they get it and does that not make more work for admin.

As has been said people do not read the website issue threads eg Brian rereporting the pm issue.I think that that one has been reported by at least 4 people.

Ok so its ok to clutter the latest posts with messages telling fred nurke to check his pms till the problem is fixed.
