anyone imported a boat

hey guys was just wondering if anyone on here has any experience on importing a boat & trailer from china ? i beleive for trailer you need a permit before importing it over? any information would be highly appreciated,

bi-polar and myself have imported boats and trailers but from the u.s.a .yes you do need a import permit for the trailer you can get them through a shipping broker eg. dazmac , bax global ect

An import permit can be obtained directly from the Department of Infrastructure and Transport in Canberra.

If you buy it in parts and assemble it here it might be easier it depends if you are going aluminium or steel.

thanks for the help guys. are you allowed to import new boats ? what were youre rates at brisbane port ? did you have to pay for storage etc etc. ?
