From the title no they are not getting Married ALL THOUGH LOL SORRY BOYS.

Just a quick 1 after getting an Invite from Robbie (freedomhawk) to go fish my first tournament the Gamakatsu BASS series on the prettiest dam Borumba I was not going to miss this.

After getting on the board late day 1 saturday with what we thought was 2 fish (31cm tip for the comp) after getting to the weigh in and finding out Im 1/2 a bloody centremetre short we had 1 fish BUT I DIDN'T CARE WE were on the board but after talking to denis and jarryd with bag of 3 but them 6th after day 1.Now to today' debackle for robbie and myself Denis and Jarryd baged 2 more fish which kept them in 6th for the weekend and a great result and a SWEET SWEET DONUT for us. After a tough day on the water with more than a few of the big boys DONUTING OOOOHHHHH we finished a hard earnt 20 out of 24 not a bad effort for 2 choppers LOL.

A big thanks to Robbie for a great weekend on the water and good company along with those other 2 boys LOL

1 thing is for sure worst day fishing beats the best day at work.

The fish have really been on the chew of late the toga are still biting and the bass are schooling up like never be for. the Saratoga have really been on the chew in the late arvo's around the main basin on the weed edges best lures for these fish at the moment have been Smak spinner baits in the IB colour and Mega bass anthrax lures . these fish are mainly biting in the arvo when the water heats up a bit. the bass have been in plague proportions. targeting the start of the timber with Berkley gulps, keitech soft plastics and xcite blades. Also the main basin at the second yellow buoy the bass have been schooling most of these fish have been biting on jackal 60mm mask vibes in the red belly black colour.

Cold front came through on Friday then even worse on Saturday night. Fishing was very dead. There was alot of toga surface action but as we were in a bass comp we didnt go after them. The schools of bass weren't hard to find, but it was hard to get them to eat anything.

We didn't have much luck with anything apart from grub style soft plastics on spin jigs and no heavier then 8LB leaders. We found a school of small Bass in the Borumba creek entrance on the friday arvo prefish, the following day we went straight back and they had moved about 100m to the right against the rocky ledge. We would cast in tight to the bank and slow roll them past the timber that was in close and would generally get a hit on the drop beside the timber.
