Moreton sharking trip September

Hey guys I'm camping at yellow patch at moreton for over a week in the September holidays for some fishing and sharking (big sharks). Just wanted to know if anyone has done any land based sharking at moreton before? What baits/rigs seem to work best? Any areas which fish best? And has anyone had any good results? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

as for bait put a variety of baits out eg. tuna stingray fresh water eel pike eel with rigs depending on bait sizes if using circles 16/0 18/0 and 20/0 run double rigs on your bigger baits and sand bag the baits aswell

Just what nook said and you can't go wrong. Just make sure there's no reef close. Also stagger your baits out at different depths out past the drop-off.

How did you go?

Ive had fairly good success over the years with Tuna, Mullet and Large Livies.. Berley really helps... but i'm off a boat so might be hard landbased... Mostly caught hammerheads (around Nook's DP size) small tigers and Bronzies.

I find if i pin them to the bottom Wobbegongs usually get to them... so generally a few metres off the bottom... with the odd monster cod as by catch.

P.s These were all caught on the inside of the island as an alternative to yellow patch if you didnt do so well.
