Logan and Albert Rivers

Hi all,

I've been fishing out of Skinners Rd Carbrook Boat Ramp recently and moving up and down the Logan and Albert Rivers. Haven't ventured out past the power lines really. Last 3 trips I have not really found a spot worthy of anything. I've only caught a small Bream and to be honest I've had more luck landbased chasing flatheads with soft plastics. Are there any particular spots worth trying. I am a soft plastics person and only use 2-4kg and 3-6kg rods. I like to catch and release with the odd keeper for the BBQ. Is it just me or is it quiet around the rivers and if not what's biting?

I'm in a 4m, 25hp tinny. I can get out into the bay and along Jumpinpin etc but I would like to try my hand in the rivers first as I am new to the area.

Cheers

The Logan River is turning to shite.

I blame the trawlers and the run off.

However I caught this today and it's bigger brother (got off) so I suppose there is promise.

Mulloway 70cm caught on cheap cooked tiger prawn from woolies.

Thanks for the feedback Vaughan. I wasn't aware of the trawlers would affect the Logan river so much. I have noticed how dirty the water is downstream compared to the mouth. I'm going out again today for another squirt closer to the mouth this time. Hopefully I can pull up a few.
