Donnybrook yak session 13th August

Hi all

Hit up Donnybrook this morning in my yak Unfortunatly due too my one year old daughter not wanting to sleep much at night lately I didnt have the nuts to get up early as planned and leave before dawn my mrswould ghave not been impressed at not getting a sleep in before work so I headed off at 9.30am.

The tide,wind and weed were really against me but I persisted any way and managed four fish wich was not a bad effort considering the circumstances.

All fish caught on neon pink 2.5inch Zman grub.

I gave my nordic stage Sharpshooter a rest today and used my ultra light 1-2kg Daiwa Gen Black rod with 2000 Freams reel loaded up with four pound braid was great fun fishing light.

23cm Bream

Not sure what this was it wasnt a Bream Im thinking its one of those "Happy moments" fish? went hard and was 32cm

Was a great wee session with a bit of Flathead for my kids tea

Thanks heaps Jarryd was surpised at the lack of teeth it had but yea fought awesome was bit disapointed when I saw it wasnt going to be a new PB Bream though.

Was a great session Ive done well in that area lately I was getting in plenty of paddling practice into the current to fitten up for when bass season starts up soon and the adventures Ill be having at EMD.

Yup Im keen my Mrs doing early starts at work so I can sneak out on the way home from work in the morning what day suits ya?
