Yakking Sandgate/redcliffe

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to yakking and was hoping to try fishing from mine (its not necessarily set up for it, but it does have a rod holder )

I'm not exactly the most experienced fisherman, but hey, the drive is there! I've just moved our family to the area so that our son will have a better lifestyle as he grows up... And am wanting to know more about my fishing options in the area.

As I said, got the yak... But also after any general tips for the area. Had a bit of luck down cabbage tree creek on the weekend, but no keepers. What's the mouth of the piney like to yak/fish?

I'm pretty new to kayak fishing myself mate but your best bet would be to flick plastics for bream and flatties in those areas. I can be a bit hit and miss mate but keep it up and you'll get the hang of it.

There is a social bream fish starting 6am this Sunday at Donnybrook. If on Facebook go to Kayak Fishing Qld for more details. A few AFO regular kayakers will be there.
