Lake K Saratoga

Hey guys,

Was talking to a mate and we are both keen to catch a toga. I know they are in lake kurwongbah but is it worth targeting them specifically there or will we be wasting our time?

Thinking of throwing around some surface lures in the late arvo.

Any tips or suggestions welcome because I don't know much about the species.

Cheers,

Sam

last year I pulled about 20 out of Kurwongbah, biggest went 87cm.

had a couple afo members onto there 1st toga with lots of excitement all on lures... jackals, sbait spinner baits and surface frogs.

but be forewarned I am a nazi when it comes to handling these guys, as they are a beautiful fish and a great fight..

almost got into a fight one session because a bloke just threw it in the water like it was a rock.

all shore based, just have to work for them haha.

A fortnight ago around 4.30 pm I was trapping guppies at Lake K to feed my pet bass. I was surprised to see 2 kayak fishermen. They were trolling and casting along the bank towards the scout building then moved toward the bubbles. I had assumed the no boating rules had changed.
