Barra-Sundy!!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Had an epic little session with a couple of mates on Sunday. We would have caught at least 25 big bustling black bream, a couple of flathead, a few tarpon, cod, trevally and 7 beautiful barra (lost another 2). Although 6 out of the 7 barra were undersize, they were still a great deal of fun on the 6lb braid, 10lb leader and light spin combo. Weedlessly rigged atomic prongs doing most of the damage. All fish (except 1 legal barra - 62cm) were released.

Wow, they're a really different looking bream to our yellow-fin bream here in SEQ.

They are pikey bream, you do get them here just not as common.

I was going to say. Black bream are from down south. These bream are pretty black in colour though.

Good catch there mate. Gotta love a good mixed bag!
